May 16 Embroidered Photograph Workshop @ The Lit Room

Make your special photos even more spectacular with embroidery in this two hour long workshop! We’ll learn the ins and outs of embroidering on surfaces like paper and photographs, basic stitches, and embroidery composition in our favorite book store, The Lit Room in Garden City! Beginners to advanced stitchers welcome! Due to the techniques involved, this workshop is recommended for those over the age of 13. 

MATERIALS PROVIDED

• embroidery needles

• scissors

• embroidery floss

• interfacing

• threaders

• tracing paper

• pencils

• awls

PLEASE BRING

photographs to stitch on that...

• are on some sort of paper that can be punctured (no slides or polaroids)

• are not one of a kind originals (i’d hate for you to damage a family heirloom, especially if this is your first embroidery experience!)
